Vaccine-Status and Hope

It's been nearly 2 years since the world gets to know a certain virus named COVID and since it has wreck havoc on the social and economical aspects of countries around the world. Researchers and Scientists have been constantly working on developing vaccines and currently, 18 Vaccines, which are discovered in various countries are being used to tackle this virus. These vaccines are found to be highly effective and are distributed to various parts of the world.

Problems Associated with Vaccines

In the initial years, there were doubts concerning the usage of vaccines as people believed they may have some concerning side effects which affect

the system. One such incident happened in the early stages of 2021, where patients are found to develop blood clots after taking the vaccines and the distribution of such vaccines has been stopped in some of the major European countries. But the results were found to be not true and the distribution of the vaccine restarted in those countries.

In some countries, the efficacy and safety results of the vaccines were not clearly mentioned by the developers which made people lose their confidence in taking such vaccines. Some of the medical experts even pointed out some grievances associated with such vaccines.

Another major problem concerning vaccines is the distribution and acceptance of vaccines in foreign countries. In some of the low-level countries, the vaccine distribution has been stagnated for some period and some countries don't even welcome the vaccines that are being used around the world. These issues have certainly hampered the usage of vaccines in different countries.

Hope!

In the year 2021, the production of vaccines has been considerably increased in various countries and is primarily focussing on distributing such vaccines around the world. The Russian government has announced that they are willing to provide free vaccines to people who are visiting their country and also distributed their vaccines to other countries who are in dire need of such vaccines.

Also, the amount of people who have taken the vaccines is also constantly improved. In the month of March, nearly 2.1% of the total world population has taken up at least the first dose of vaccine and 0.8% of the population has taken both doses of vaccine. This when compared to the month of June, nearly 22.4% of the total world population have taken up the vaccine and 10.3% of people from the total population have taken up both the doses of vaccines. It's a study incline, but an incline nonetheless.

With various production facilities are being developed around the world and swift response in distribution and with the statistics much improved from the previous months. It is safe to say that we are going on the right track and if followed, we can be able to defeat the pandemic by the end of this year( unless various new variant shows up and completely disrupts the normalcy like it always does)

A big thank you to every worker in the domain of pharmaceutical sectors who is making the production and distribution process effective and to all medical personnel who are saving every life as they always do!
